Sphatik is a clear, shiny, transparent stone, also known as clear quartz. In astrology it is linked with the planet Venus (Shukra), and it is believed to improve concentration, calm the mind, reduce anxiety and support restful sleep. How to Wear and Care for Your Sphatik Mala

Start wearing the Sphatik mala on a Friday, the day of Venus (Shukra). Before wearing it, wash the beads in clean water or soak them in milk. Many people chant a Lakshmi or Shukra mantra before putting it on. Once you start wearing it, treat the mala with respect and don't let many people touch it.
